I have 2 pair of white Athena AS-06 outdoor speakers. White doesn't go with the rest of the deck.

What, if any, effect to the sound quality would result if I spray painted the entire speaker including the plastic grill?

Anyone done this and what was your experience?

Thanks.

The only part that might be troublesome is the grill. What is this made out of (cloth, metal, plastic)?

You can't just trade them in for the black model, huh?

Well, the key thing is not to clog the grill. I'm not sure how big the holes are, but they don't look that large in the pictures, so be doubly careful.

The two suggested methods I've seen have been: 1) use a very dry foam roller to paint ensure the holes aren't blocked (from this thread) or 2) spray with a thinner & paint mixture (from this thread) .
