Paint Removal Tips

Like an idiot I didn't wrap my component cables prior to the painters priming the walls and ceiling. Now the tips/connections are covered in paint. Are there any solvents you can suggest to help me remove the paint safely and that won't damage the cables and/or cause a fire?


Any help would be appreciated.
