All,

I have a cathedral ceiling adapter that I ordered from mounts and more. This mount (apparently) only comes in white, and I would like it in black to match the other two parts of the mount (projector mount and extension column). The web site says that it comes with a "white fused epoxy" finish. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to paint it?

Thanks,

We use a primer from Zinser (Bulls eye BIN) that is alcohol based and sticks to just about everything. You can buy it in a spray can. Make sure is is the red label alcohol based as they make several primers. Also automotive primer is a great base over difficult finishes. It is lacquer based and you can get it in grey which would help coverage of black finish. If you scuff the white epoxy with fine sandpaper first you will be better off but the Zinser product is made for super shiny surfaces. After proper priming any paint will work for you.
