I was wondering if I needed to have this line conditioner always on? Common sense tells me that in order to have my Plasma and AV equipment protected, it needs to be always on. Am I right?

Also, is there certain spots where I need to have the Plasma, AV reciever, Direct TV box, etc. hooked into? Switched or non-switched????

TIA

I wouldn't use the switched plugs for anything that you use daily, the switched outlets are good for stuff you don't use all the time, game systems, cd player etc....

Thanks for answering part of my question. Maybe you can help me on whether I should leave it on all the time or do I turn it off when everything else is off?

I turn mine off when done and kill the panel lights too.

As for what to plug where, I had the HD-A35 in a switched outlet at first and was greeted with the setup screen whenever I turned it on. Had to set the clock. Moved it to a non-switched outlet and no more of that. No such problem with the PS3 so I gave it a switched outlet and everything else is in the one marked for it. Everything seems to be happy.

I have never turned mine off since the day I bought it, It only works when its on.

That way it does not matter switched or unswitched
