Hi All,

I was looking at the panamorph lens originally, as I want to reduce screen door effect.

I use the projector for all aspect ratios.

Sanyo XP21 on a 100inch wide screen.

I found the IMX lens info, a reviewer said that it reduces contrast. Is this true?

Does anyone have both lenses and a preference?

From my understanding of the Panamorph, the pixels are stretched vertically, so does this mean that I can still see the vertical lines of the pixel structure and the horizontal ones disappear?

Or does the Panamorph reduce the vertical lines as well?

Appreciate any feedback

Cheers

Both will help, as will defocusing.

I believe it was bytehoven who posted comparisons of both on a HT1000. Try a search.

Steve, here's what I do. When I'm not using my Panamorph, I defocus very slightly to the high side. When using it, I focus to the sharpest image as the Panamorph does introduce a little softness.
