Now that we are actually machining the parts I think we can come up with a better schedule estimate. The primary issue we have to work with at this point is that while it would be better to make a lot of units in one continuous operation, the first unit would still have to wait for, say, the 200th unit. On the other hand, while we could probably make a dozen units and ship by next week, the operation would be so inefficient that it would take several months to fill all the back orders. The best medium at this point seems to be 50 unit batches for the near term. The first batch is scheduled to be completed out of machining by next Thursday the 24th. From there they need to be anodized and final-finished, which takes several more days since there are so many parts. The optical components remain on schedule for all units. Once all components come in and are assembled, each product requires a two-day curing period before shipping. This puts initial shipments during the last week of the month. With this approach, it is still reasonable that all backorders (to date) will be filled by the end of June. Pictures in a couple days.

Yours truly,

Shawn:

I signed up with the initial order group so I believe that I am in the initial batch.

With this in mind, and with time getting short, some of us will need to update shipping information.

I have a new e-mail address, listed in my forum profile.

I also would like this shipment insured.

Is there a preferred rout for getting this information updated?

Thanks.

Thanks for the update. I really really really really hope that I will have it really really soon. It would help so much in my initial setup. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Excellent! ...though it always seems like it is two weeks away - how strange.
