The insider at HDJ is reiterating that they will continue to produce TVs based on the current level of panel technology. I think a lot of these articles -- this one especially, saying that Panasonic is closing its production line -- are designed to create the impression that actual manufacturing is shutting down, which doesn't seem to be true unless he's seriously out of the loop. He actually seemed pretty annoyed about it, so it doesn't sound like marketing talk.

We will make pdp. But no longer new advances in tech aside from revisions to existing technology we have.

Glad to see him posting again. I had about 5 minutes to hop on computer heading over to HDJ was my next stop to see what he had to say. Good news though, hopefully that means we will be able to get ZT quality at a great price in a few years. Hopefully Panasonic and Sony's partnership will be beneficial and OLED's and cost will plummet since they are sharing R&D and Manufacturing cost.
