I am thinking about buying the Panasonic CT32HL44 HDTV-ready TV. It seems to get rave reviews and the price has now dropped to below $700. "on the street".

I would like to connect it to my PC, which has a Fusion HDTV card and a

Radeon 9700 Pro video card, using Powerstrip software to adjust the output

signal from the card to match the TV's input.

Any comments/suggestions etc. before I take the plunge...has anyone tried

using the Panasonic in a similar fashion???

I could either connect the DVI output of the Radeon with the HDMI input on

the Panasonic - or - connect the DVI output to a DVI > Component adapter, then connect to the Component input of the Panasonic.

Which of the above 2 connections would give the best result?

I know that the Panasonic does not have a HDTV tuner built in, but the

Fusion HD works great in picking up QAM HDTV broadcasts from Comcast

standard cable, without any need for a Comcast box.....

Thanks in advance for any help on this...I don't want to buy the set only to

find that it isn't really suited to what I plan....

OK - but thought I read somewhere that if the Component input is used the digital "strem" is converted to analog..then converted back in the TV to digital...or is that all wrong?

I have heard this many times so it's prolly true . . . .

DVI/HDMI is pure digital thus the difference.

Actually i have a different model Panny but no, never tried connecting it to a PC (no need to, and my TV doesn't have a DVI input anyway :)
