Your biggest advantage would be saving the wear and tear on your ps3. You won't tell a lick of a difference between the two for playing blu rays and I doubt you would see any benefit from standard def dvd either. You WILL get to see your pretty Tru-HD and DTS-MA lights go on your Denon but you will NOT hear a difference between bitstreaming the high def audio or using the ps3 via decoded LPCM.
And the number one reason to get the Panny.....No more crappy blue tooth remote!(or ps3 controller) You can then use a real universal remote. Of course you could do the same with the ps3 if you bought a harmony adapter, but that costs almost as much as the panny you are considering.
If it were me, I would buy it just to save the wear and tear (as well as the energy savings) on your ps3....
