Hello:

Does anyone know of a brand of CD-R disks that will read in a Panasonic DVD drive. I had used one brand that worked but they are unavailable to me now. With all the other brands I have tested, the player reports No Disk on the display.

I am guessing that the dye on that one brand was the difference.

Cheers

My fave are the light blue-teal coloured discs. One brand is Mitsui. I like these since they seem to work in almost everything.

I have used several brands of cheap CD-R media and have had no problems with any of them. Make sure your CD-R is formated for VCD with those special files and that the MPEG's all conform to the VCD standard. Otherwise they will not work. The Players will not read a straight data CD. Hope this helps.
