Panasonic E55 - FF speed?

Looking thru the manual for the Panasonic DMR-E55. It says there are 5 steps for FF and reverse, but doesn't say what speed these correspond to. I have an RCA at the moment, it has max 15x FF. Is the Panny faster?

Yes, it is much faster than 15X. Top speed is 100X. I have zipped through a 2 hour disk is less than 10 minutes.

Speeds are 2x, 10x, 30x, 70x and 100x.

That's about 12X speed. :confused:
