Hi. I'm looking for a TV that displays SD content well, as I will continue to use plenty of 480i sources and am perfectly content with 720/1080 video being downscaled to 480p (I do that now with a 19" LCD TV---find it easier on my eyes).

Would a Panasonic plasma EDTV be a good choice for me who wants good quality from both worlds? Is it even capable of such (I'm looking at one of their last EDTV models, the TH-42PD60U, released in 2006)? Although progressive-scan, the resolution matches closely to that of 480i, so I'm hoping it can perform better with SD content than a similar quality yet 720/1080p plasma HDTV.

Thank you for any enlightenment on their SD picture quality
