Buddd,
I'm looking at the Panasonic PT-L711XU. It's the newer model due out in August/September. Has better contrast (400:1 vs 300:1), brighter (1600 lumens vs. 1400) and a save mode on the lamp that gives 4,000 hours (and I think 1200 lumens). There's also an L701XSDU and L701XU that are XGA and have 500:1 contrast ratios, but only 1200 lumens. For home theater you probably don't want the XSDU because you're just paying for an SD memory card that's useful only for storing presentations.
I'd like to know what experience anyone has with the Panasonic 711 or 701 family of projectors. How do they compare to the NEC LT 155/156 projectors for home theater?
I'm planning to use mine for home theater as well as taking it on the road for presentations.
Thanks.
