I am looking for an LCD for my folks guest room, I use it sometimes; they don't want too spend much for this room. Looking at the prices, at least it should be Digital-ready, so it won't become obsolete. We need speakers below the screen, and an integrated stand.
The Panasonic and Toshiba, 20" 4:3 LCDs, mention the possibility of a Digital STB. When one of these TVs is used for 16:9, it will have a decent 18.4" screen.
Another thought was to get a 22" or 23" ED or HD 16:9, but I just don't know if it is worth the $, using it as a 4:3 smaller analog screen for probably two years.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
