Panasonic PTA 500E help!

375 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  trailergod
I have a panasoinc PTA-E 500 lcd projector hooked up to my pc via the 15 pin d-sub (VGA) connector on my Asus V9999GE graphics card. It is outputting at optimum res of 1280x720. The problem is, the display will randomly go black and instantly return to a picture with all broken up lines at the bottom of the screen!! It doesn't happen very often but it's a really new projector (only 39Hrs on the clock) and I'm just hope this problems frequency isn't going to increase. I have not yet got a DVI cable, I will be getting one soon. Is this a known problem with connecting PJs up via the VGA socket? Do you think a DVI cable will fix this? Any ideas why it's doing this? Just hope it's not a faulty projector!

Thanks

try EIDE 1 or 2

or

1) In the options for the Nvdia control panel, change the 'Flat Panel Display' to 'Display Adapter Scaling'or "monitor scaling"

2) In the refresh rate overrides: Set 1280x720 to 60hz (not sure if this one 'really' makes a difference or not.
