I found a great deal on the Panasonic TC-P46S30 and TC-P50S30 and even thought I'm not a fan of the design (I like the look of the LG's more, like the 50PV450), I hear they have great pictures, better antiglare, and have some "smart features".

A couple things I can't find online... do the S30's have swivel stands? Also, they play movies with Viera Image Viewer, does this include DIVX? I can't find that information?

DO NOT BUY THIS TV, I repeat do not buy.

This is panasonics entry level line of plasma for 2011. I thought I was getting a great deal on the tv as well when I bought it about a week ago. Since then I have been having nothing but eye strain, dizzyness and slight headaches.

I have attempted adjusting the brightness contrast, color, etc and and it still hurts my eyes and makes me squint. My 65 inch in the living room does not do this.

I have a buld date of June 2011 maybe something worong with the panels or something not sure. But I did find someone else who had a smiliar issue on this forum as well. I am waiting a response from them to see how they resolved it.

This apparently is a known issue on the S30. I am going to bring it back to the store.

I am hoping the ST30 and other models do not cause this. Like I said I have last years 65inch 3d in my living room and never had an issues from day one.

I think you need to go see an eye specialist. Do you hear anybody else on here saying their S30 causes eye strain? You posting this is one of the most irresponsible and liable things I've seen on this board.

I agree, I have had this set for 3 weeks now and while I am still breaking it in I love the pic and have not had any of these issues.

You need to disregard the original response you received. While this is Panasonic's entry level plasma it is by no means a bad TV. I have the 60 inch model and it has a great picture. Don't hesitate to pick this deal up if you Have the opportunity.

I was not trying to scare the person from purchasing this tv. I am just trying to make the person aware that I had an issue with my eyes straining after watching the TV for some time. I had my eyes check recnetly and do not have any problems. If you click on the hyperlink in my original posting I am not the only one who had the issue with this tv.

It is possible I have a bad panel which is causing the eye strain. I have not had a tv in my bedroom for a long time and the last time I had one it was a tube tv. I do not think that makes a difference.

I already have a call out to pansaonic and they are esclating the call to see what can be done. They told me there was a flutulation brightness issue but I have the latest firmwire so that should be taken care of.

I watch both SD and HD. Most of the time I watch tv in my bedroom at night before going to bed. But sometimes on the weekend i'd like to watch in the morning.

Maybe someone can suggest some picture settings for me? I've tried them all standard, custom, cinimea and vivid. Not sure if I should have a different picture setting for daytime viewing than nightime viewing even thoiugh this is a bedroom. There are 2 windows behind my bed coverd with blinds which would be the only light source in the room. My bed is roughl 12 feet from the tv and it's a 42 inch on a stand.

Like I said before my living room tv is a VT25 and obviosuly thats a different class of TV, but that televsion has THX mode and never had any eye strain day or night keeping it on the settings I like.

I called the store where I bought it and they told me to bring it in and they will exchange it for a different tv if I like even a totally different model. I want to try and resolve this without doing that, but if I have to I will. I may get the ST30 if I decide to return the tv.

Would appreicate some help
