This is a great sign for me, hopefully. I'm hoping it's not long before I can get the 50" for around $550. Just wondering if I should go for the S64, or if the AR filter will actually make the display seem too dark. Will have to wait and see on that one!

Anyone know if ABT will do a price adjustment? I paid $659.99 for my 42S60 just a few weeks ago.

Well I checked and my order was on April 13th so I just missed their 30 day price match policy!

I would speak with them if you haven't already. Plead your case and if they won't budge, ask for some kind of credit or discount. You gotta ask.

I haven't called yet but they no longer have the 42S60 on their website. Probably not a good sign.

Wonder why 55 inch plasma is not a widely available choice in the big box stores, unlike LED which has many brands in that size. Can't find a 55" S60 or ST60 at BB or HHG anywhere. Although a PC Richard store in Jersey had the 55S60 for $694 last week. Wish I could have jumped on that. But apparently 55 inch is a popular size for LED/LCD, but not plasma.

It could be a place like PC Richards put in a big order for the 55". I think you should see if you can still get that price. The last time I was there I was just looking at the 55 on the wall, and the salesman came up to me and gave me a price of $750. This was in another store apart from the tent sale.

Unfortunately, I am in SC and there is no PC Richards nearby. But may checkout Brandsmart and Fry's next time I drive down to Ga which is about 2 hours away. But I still question why 55 inch is a popular size for LED but not plasma.

Quick heads up. Sears is running a 100,000 "Shop Your Way" promotion on any TV purchased over $599. So, I did the following deal:

- 50" S60 for $699.99

- Less: Ebates click through for 6.0% cash back ($42)

- Less: Shop Your Way promotion points; 100,000 points is equal to $100 off future purchase ($100)

Total: $558 plus Sales Tax (8.25% here in Texas). Free delivery as well.

Anyone have any idea if Sears may do the 42" S60 for $399 deal again? This would be a great deal for a bedroom tv.

No kidding. Kicking myself for missing it. Thinking about going ahead and paying $499 for it.

Was at my local Costco today and saw that the price for the S64 50" has dropped from $629.99 to $599.99. I had bought my set- which I'm really liking BTW- just under a month ago and had no problem at all getting a price adjustment. Costco really is great to deal with.

For anyone looking for a TV this size, it is hard to imagine a better deal. The bang for the buck is unmatched.
