Panasonic SA-XR50 Label Editing?

372 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  AkaStp
Is there a way on this receiver to edit the input displays? I use the CD Input for my iPod and would like to lable it that way and I would like to rename the DVR input to TiVo. This was possible on my old receiver, and I can't figure out how to do it on the XR50.

I wish there was, but unfortunately that does not appear to be the case. I've scoured through the manual (what little there is of it) a few times and gone through all of the setup options a bunch of times but could not find such a feature.
Yeah, me too. I was just hoping I was missing something.
No..no. I read the manual you can label any input as DVD, TV, CD, TAPE, DVR etc. But you cannot enter your own name for the input. I will try it out today and let you all know. If you are impatient, read the manual again.
I still don't think so. Yes, you can assign any digital input (optical or coax) to any input selection (Page 10) but you can't rename them that I can find. The input selections are fixed at TV, DVD, VCR/DVR and CD but can't be renamed that I can find. I.e. you can assign Coax2 to CD but you can't rename "CD" to "DVR" or "TV" to "DBS" for example. I have my Samsung TS360 D* HD Receiver connected to Coax2 and assigned to "CD" input selection which I would lobe to rename to "HDR" for example. But, I would love to be proven wrong. :) Which page in the manual?
