I wondered if this would be considered an HDTV display? It is rated at 854 horizontal X 480 vertical lines of resolution in a 16 X 9 format. It also supports Progressive line doubling. It has 1 Component input that supports a Progressive scan DVD player, but I don't know if it is a wideband input also.

That would make this display an SD (not HD) digital monitor. It displays all pictures as 480P natively.

Think you need 1080 vertical lines for HD.
