Panasonic TC-P42X1 HDMI not working after lightning

After a recent lightning storm, our Panasonic BluRay/Surround system was knocked out and the ports on the TV (Panasonic TC-P42X1) don't seem to work. Is there a way to 'reset' the tv? Can the board(s) be replaced? Any hope for saving this set? The tuner works fine - currently picking up over the air signal - and display seems to be great; I just can't feed it a signal from any DVD/BluRay or game. I tried all of the HDMI ports, as well as components jacks... no luck with any of them. (Not sure this is relevant, but sound, via optical cable, DOES pass thru, but NO video)

The set was connected to a Monster Power Cleaner/Surge Supressor, which is also dead. Monster CLAIMS they will cover any damage, but it's turning out to be quite a hassle to deal with them. (original receipts, repair estimates, etc) The components which died were all out of warranty (2-4 years old) If theres hope the surround system & tv can be repaired, I'll pursue the MOnster Warranty, but I'm just wondering if anyone know what my chances are?

Thanks for any info - I did read through hours of posts and wasn't able to find anything similar. If it's here somewhere, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Talk to your homeowner's (renters / condo owners...) insurance company - they should have coverage for lightning damage.

Although value to you will depend on cost of the damaged items vs your deductible....
