Well, I didn't know where to post this, in the LCD or Plasma section, hope you guys can steer me towards the proper choice for a TV.

Currently I have a 50" Panasonic 9UK (plasma) downstairs mounted above the fireplace (see sig for pictures). It's about 3 years old and I still absolutely LOVE the picture.

Upstairs I currently have a 37" Toshiba LCD and it's absolute garbage. We are remodeling and will be doing something similar what we have downstairs, upstairs. Here's what we have downstairs:

Anyways, I really want to go with Plasma again upstairs, not only is it ~$250 cheaper than the LCD but I think the picture is better on plasmas, go figure.

The only issue I have is that it is quite bright and a lot of windows upstairs. Is the glare as bad on newer plasmas as it is on my older 9uK? It's almost unwatchable with the blinds open.

Basically my question is: Is it a mistake to have a plasma upstairs where it is bright and lots of windows?

Thanks guys

UGH did some reading on the master thread and it seems like reflections will still be an issue.

Wish me luck in LCD land.
