Print it out and take it to the local BB or CC when they say they price match.

You will be pleased at the $1000 you save. Walk away if they blow you off.

This will be the plasma that breaks the price barriers. Already heading toward $3000.00


The TH-37PA20U is listed at around $3000.00. No way you are paying $1500 for the extra 5 inches.


That sound you hear is the splat of folks who paid MSRP of $4500 two months ago and are leaping off the nearest parking garage. Several divorces to follow.


Bonus: Download the TH50PHD6UY brochure from Panasonic's FTP Broadcast site. It has specs on all the commerical 6 Series Plasma's especially the blade connector options. It is a nice 8 pager.

YMMV, but my local Sears pricematches internet prices and I was able to get the 42PA20U at a sub $3k price (oh yeah and no sales tax in MT)... I almost feel guilty... almost

It is available from a number of internet dealers at sub $3K price including shipping. Even the CC on line site has it for less than 3K. So it is a good sign that prices *are* dropping.

Whoops--I'm wrong. I did a search on 42PA20U and Dealtime returned a search for the 37" models. Go figure...

Like I said it is a big YMMV, but my Sears did When they put in the competitor when price matching their computers "E-Commerce" listed as an eligible competitor... All I know is I have a 42" Panny Plasma due in on Wednesday!
