Would like a new flatpanel for my bedroom. Viewing distance is probably 8-10' ontop of a 5' stand. I see the Panny has great reviews...no pc input...which I assume I can plug a laptop into it just might not display perfectly. Other than a comcast dvr and a dvd burner....I probably would only use a surround receiver. Any reason I should not go for the Panny at $689 over a 1080p lcd/plasma?

for 8 to 10 feet i would go with plasma as they are less bright, i have an LCD in bedroom and i need to bring brightness down to avoid eye fatigue but then PQ suffers. I never thought of eye fatigue.
