Panasonic TH-50PZ700 does not have HDMI 1.3 but 1.2A.......Only Panasonic TH-50PZ750 will have HDMI 1.3

Starting to look like it will be quite the showdown between the Samsung 50" 1080p and the Panny 50pz750.

Could be the case, but that's not what panasonic, best buy or others have said.

Retailers are notorious for flubbing the details so perhaps a little due diligance before such a declaration.

FWIW I received an email from Panasonic confirming all 07 Panasonics will support 1.3.Others have reported receiving the same information.

Thats what I think to. I will send another email to Panasonic asking directly for the 700u series. Hard to judge just from a retailers side.
