Hi guys,

I have a 15month old Panasonic th42px6u plasma that recently broke. The top half of the panel is completely black. Panasonic recommended their service centers etc.....and one of the guys i talked to said that a board needed to be replaced and it would cost around 500$. I was wondering if anybody here had a link to a service manual or knew how to diagnose the problem etc... I have built many computers etc.. and think i could probably fix it unless it requires advanced tools etc...Skimming over the internet tells me that there are two boards that control the upper and lower half of the screen. If one of those is bad and all I have to do is order and replace the board...I think I can do it unless things are hard wired together. I liked my panny but I am disappointed that it broke after 15 months or so. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance
