Did you search this forum for that model number?

Are you sure you saw this at BB? Because it's a "club" model and is most commonly sold at Costco and a few other big wharehouse/club type stores.

It's their version of the TH-46PZ80U and is a current model.

I've never heard of it being sold at BB or any other such retailer but maybe now that the current models are almost at the end of their production runs maybe they're trying to move inventory to wherever it can be sold.

Same as pz80u with a pc input and matte finish.

is matte finish a good thing? What are the pros and cons of it? Also, what kind of finish is on the PZ80U? Thanks....and what about the 4:3 burn in factor?

The burn in and glare factors are the only things that are keeping me from driving down to BB right now!

Matte finish- as opposed to a glossy finish like the rest of panasonic's line.

The tv has a 4:3 format that places grey window box to avoid uneven wear if you watch a lot of 4:3. You could also watch 4:3 on full screen which would stretch it horizontally- if you're worried about it.
