This only works with Blu-ray discs that have java embedded resume feature. Discs that do not have that feature will start at the beginning which is why some people complain.

Panasonic UB820/UB9000 Restart Procedure after 20-Minute Auto-Shutdown

I could have simply added this information to both the Threads already here on the Panasonic UB820 & UB9000.
My reasoning is simple ..........
If I did that the one post would be totally covered-up almost instantly on both those threads.
So hardly anyone would get the benefit of this information.
I did have the Panasonic UB820 and exchanged it on the much Higher-End Panasonic UB9000.
(The UB9000 offers additional benefits/settings if you have a projector like my JVC RS4500 Laser)
I think the below information will work for either unit although I did this with the UB9000 last evening.
As all of us know on either of those units after approximately 20-minutes they shut-down.
I have read that the reasoning behind that is something to do with the European Market and Power Conservation/Consumption.
That's why in the USA we do-not have an option to totally disable that very annoying feature !!!
I have been meaning to post this for sometime but then forget to take a few pictures that show what we see on the screen.
This time I did remember so hopefully the text along with the pictures will make perfect sense.
Here goes ...........
(1) After the 20-minutes and you come back from whatever you were doing and the UB820 & UB9000 have shut-off.
(2) Touch the On Button on the Panasonic UB820 or UB9000
(3) You will then see the below screen
(4) Touch Yes ..........
(5) Then you see the below and Touch Yes ..........
The Picture/Content will Resume exactly where it was before it Shut-Down after the approximately 20-Minutes.
I hope this makes life so much better for all of us that have either one of those Panasonic UB820 or UB9000 players.
