I'm looking to upgrade my PC setup but I'm getting conflicting suggestions of what part is most in need of an upgrade. This is for 70/30, Music/Other with a $500 budget.
Current setup is as follows:
Onboard audio(Via Vinyl based) -> s/pdif optical -> XR10 -> Infinity Entra One(x2)
I was under the impression that the XR10 wasn't that bad and that I should spend the money on the speakers. However I have been told several times the XR10 is by far the weakest link in the chain and that I should replace it and either keep the current speakers or get whatever the remaining budget allows.
Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
