Panasonic XVS30 Series Plasmas

Just jumped on the Panny website and found that they list a lineup of plasmas which have external media box. It says they use 7th gen panels.

They are more expensive than the current lineup. Are these old or new?

The XVS30 is last year's top-of-the-line model and was discontinued long ago. Apparently they couldn't sell them all so lots of places have them on clearance. And they're still over-priced !!

Thanks! That seemed a little odd. I think i like the black look better though.

I like the glossy black design - just like Pioneer. I was searching for news of an 8th gen to come out, but couldn't find any. I think I will settle with the 8UK.
