Panny 300... HD-15 input connection?

I will be connecting my DVD player (Denon 1600) and a HDTV tuner (samsung 165) to my 300u. The DVD player will be connected with component cables and the tuner through the HD-15 input. I can't use the DVI because of the distance. Is any one else using the HD-15? and how do you like it.
