I was in Sam's club yesterday, saw the Panny 55 in wide screen. As I was standing there they lowered the price from 4,000. to 2,500. I guess this is a good sign. The only problem is they had a DVD playing in the settings where all off. (not a pretty pic)

The Sams in Orlando has (had) a Panasonic 56" TV on display for $3999. It had a non-standard model number. It was similar to the PT56WXF95 but it had only one HD input. I am not sure if it even had 720p capability. I would steer clear of this TV. If you really want a Panasonic see if you can find a PT56WXF95. You should be able to get one for close to $2500. Check with Sears. They sell this model and match internet prices, but I believe you may have trouble finding one. Before you buy a Panasonic check out this user group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PanasonicPT56WXF95 . Good luck.
