OK, I have some DTS audio CDs encoded at 24 bit. Do I need to have the receiver set to digital input for the optical cable or 7.1 for the 7.1 analog cables? I know that the CDs are only 5.1, but I have the Panasonic BD10 bluray player connected to the receiver both ways.

Are you trying to have the DMP-BD10 do the decoding, or the reciever? If you use analogues, the DMP-BD10 will decode, and for optical it will vary depending on the player settings.

When listening to DTS encoded Cds, you should use the optical/coaxial connection. You may get white noise if you use the analog connection. I don't have the Panasonic BD player, so I agree with nick2010, check all of your settings.

Thanks, that's what I needed. I do use the optical out, I was just wondering if that was best. I let the reciever do the decoding, it seems to be better than the Panny.
