Hello All,


I just received a 42PX600 last week, which replaced a 42PD25. When using my 42PD25 I always left it in the "Auto" mode which utilized the C.A.T.S. function. I found its effect to be subtle but effective.


Things are different with my new 42PX600. I find the C.A.T.S. function to be too "aggressive" on this TV. I understand its purpose, but I think it is dimming the picture too much.


I am wondering if anyone out there uses the C.A.T.S. function and if so, what Picture and Brightness settings do you use along with it.

Don't use it unless you want your plasma to look like an LCD Tv.

I have a 500U and it's waaaaaaaay too aggressive. A useless feature in my opinion... never used it - never missed it.

My Previous TH-37PWD6UY had this feature. The picture was always too dark for my taste when using it.

Just curious,do those with c.a.t.s. calibrate and then enable it or leave it on while adjusting the picture?

42PX600U. I don't use it. It makes the picture way too dark, even in low lighting situations.
