Good day,

I'm looking at purchasing the PT4000 here in the next couple weeks. I'm now needing to determine the best screen suited for viewing. Would like to go with a 103 2.35:1 fixed screen but would like to know a good brand, what gain, white or grey screen. Buget would be in the $500 to $800 range if possible.

The projector will be in a basement with very little natural light (two small windows) that also can be closed with blinds.

Any ideas would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Your setup sounds just like mine.

I am in the process of building a smallish HT in the basement. It's about 95% finished. The 16:9 screen is 103" diagonal. My center speaker is behind the screen, so I went with a Seymour acoustically transparent screen. It was around $1,000. The construction quality is very good. Worth every penny.

After doing lots of research, I have decided to get a Panny AE4000. Or I should say, up until this week I have been set on getting the AE4000. For not much more money, I can get a JVC DLA-HD250.
And that's what I plan on getting within the next month or so.
