Where are all the sharp 9000 and panny rp91 owners? The panny gives you a choice of monitor types (RPTV, CRT, LCD, etc). Since there isn't a choice for DLP, which monitor type are you using?
Set the RP91 display type to Standard and Black Level to Darker. Then make sure you have the RP91 in progressive mode (blue light). I've tried my RP91 on a friend's 9000 with these settings (I have an LT150, Panamorph, and Cinematrix scaler), and it was fantastic. Handily beat the Q50 and Toshiba (POS) 5700.
You will get the best results from the setup if you calibrate the PJ with Avia.
