I am doing some research on plasmas, and am leaning towards the Panny TH-42PWD7UY. But in looking at this:
http://www.visualsystemsgroup.com/Pr...H-42PWD7UY.pdf

It looks like the component inputs on this are BNC coaxial, not RCA-type component inputs (37" model has RCA component inputs).

These are different cables, right? Would I need an adapter to plug a DVD player or game console into this? It also looks like it doesn't have DVI or HDMI.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You'll need adapters, but those can be purchased at RatShack for a few dollars. You could buy components that have BNC ends to them, and, some vendors (VisualApex) supply adapters with their units. :)

You'll still use your component cables, you'll simply need to lock the adapters on it.

Yes the commercial models use BNC connectors and the DVI port is on an extra cost addon plug-in board. You either get simple BNC-RCA adaptors at stores like Radio Shack or buy a special component cable with RCA connectors at one end and BNC on the other. Also the DB15 connector can support component video using a breakout cable.

The 42" comes with an empty slot. That slot can be filled with modules found
