Panny TH42PWD6UY voltage question/advice

408 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  loftus
Hello,

I have been running like crazy trying to find out if this model will work with the current overseas...

There are several web sites indicating that this model is compatible with 220V (invisionplasma; plasmabay; lcdtvs...).

When I spoke with a Panasonic representative - he denied it.

I think he was only concerned about me wanting to export this model out of the US.

Can someone help me find out the truth about this model?

My alternative model is the Sony PFM-42V1S, what do you think?

Thanks!

Check out the Fujistu plasma. Apparently they support 120 - 240v @ 50 - 60 Hz

Be aware that US warranties are not honored overseas (and vice versa)

Its a chance I have to take...

The overall price is less than half!
Be aware that there may be "hidden" costs over and above the shipping costs (which can be considerable). Many countries will charge duty/sales tax on direct imports, and if your plasma arrives damaged it could be difficult to arrange a replacement.

Be careful out there.
