I have a 4 year old Panasonic PT-47WX33G (rear projection 47").


For an unknown reason, the TV will no longer turn on. When POWER button is pressed, the TV sounds like it is starting up, but before a picture appears, it shuts down, and the power light goes from green back to red, and blinks (4 times a cycle, I think, then repeats).

I turned off, left unplugged overnight, tried again, same problem.

No strange smells, lights, or sounds.


Any ideas on what problem could be? Solution / cost of repair? Any service manual out there?

I am otherwise very happy with it.

i have same problem it started inmiddle of january if i find solution i will post it here. if you have found solution could you please post it here too.

Local Panny service guy says he knows what it is, it is an on-site repair (not replacement), about US$300.
