Really want to get a pair of these to replace my Paradigm Phantoms. My room is 16x16x8. While I'm sure they are intended for larger spaces, they still work ... right (at normal movie viewing volumes)?


The appearence of the Phantoms in the room fits prefectly with the overall layout.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm going to listen to these on Friday but the room will be much larger so it will be hard to judge the impact of a smaller room. I just got the new CC290 so I figure these would complement the new center well. I'm guessing they are much larger - in terms of physical size vs my existing Phantoms.


Has anyone heard the diff between the two? I expect if will be large.

Thanks. I've been following your thread. It's somewhat surprising to me how little info is on this forum discussing the 11's. I even went through the archives the other day and found almost nothing. There is quite a lot of info on the 7's and 9's. This lack of detail on the 11's has made me question if the 9's are not a better sounding speaker. Maybe the v5's are better.


Most of the discussions are like your's, go with the highend Monitor line or lower end Studio line. In my case, since I just upgraded to the CC290, i'm committed to the Monitor line.


We will likely be building a new house in the next 1-2 years and I will have a much larger HT so I think I'd like to get the 11's (assuming I think they sound good).


I'll be curious to hear your thoughts after you hear them.

I own a pair and they sound fantastic. They replaced Vandersteen 2ci.
