I'm trying to buy speakers on a budget and have a friend who is upgrading his old Paradigms. He purchased for over $2,000 in '97 and I can get them for $350. He has 2 - LCR450 (front-left and front-right); CC450 (center Channel); and 2 ADP450 (rear-left and rear-right)
Another friend has a "newer" Paradigm System 3 set which was cheaper when it was purchased initially (about $1,200) about two years ago. He's thinking of selling for around $700.
Which is a better deal for me? I'm leaning towards the cheaper set (since I can get it NOW instead of waiting for the other guy to make up his mind) but I'm willing to wait if the extra money would make a big difference.
