I know it's old news that Paradigm is partly owned by ShoreView Industries since 2005, but I was surprised to see this admission :

Quote:
Growth Strategy: Pursue additional low-cost sourcing and manufacturing opportunities in Asia

One of the things that attracts me to Paradigm speakers is this statement from their website:

Quote:
In the speaker-building chain, manufacturing is just as important a link as research and design. At Paradigm we design and build drive units, crossover networks, electronics, amplifiers, plastics and enclosures – and even our own tooling, production and testing equipment – to ensure greater precision and superior quality control.

Does anyone how much progress they have made? Have they built a factory in China, or do they outsource to a third party? I would prefer to buy speakers that are entirely made in Canada, so can anyone list the parts or entire speakers that are not made in Canada anymore?

I've heard the brass that connects the binding posts and the pcb are foreign made. One thing you gotta consider is, that is somewhat of a self-defeating mission statement since a great deal of the time, someone else who has pre-existing tools and experience building those parts will probably do a better job.
