Parasound C2 ???

Does the Pro 4 channel have and adjustable high pass filter or is it locked into 20 hz?

What mix do you use to create an overhead channel on Pro 1&3 channels?

Those of you using the C1 or C2 are you happy with it?

Thanks

James,

I really don't see a lot of input on this forum about Parasound. I have all Halo amps and have been looking at the c1/c2 lately.

Try looking at HTGUIDE.com

Then go to the Parasound forum.
I've had the C1 for about 3 months and I couldn't be happier with it. It is extremely user friendly. The major difference over the C2 is the front display. I thought I would really need it for it's video function but it turns out it doesn't pass my sources (mostly 720p) anyway. It seems to have a lot more hookup options that many of the others I was looking at and I like the flexibility of those spare channels.

I don't use the pro 4 channel but I'm pretty sure it's locked at 20hz. The other 3 are adjustable.

I'm very happy with it btw.

Steve, have you tried also running S video or composite feeds into the C1 for the front panel display? I do this with my DVD player and HD Sat reciever, using s video for the front panel display and then DVI directly to my projector.
Can you setup the Pro 1 &3 channels for stereo bass of the front channels?

I've tried it with several dvd players that upconvert to 720p. I don't think they will output both at the same time. The dvd capability is really my main concern because I wanted to be able to cue up a movie to the right spot.

There are two channels that you can configure any way you want. They are adjustable for frequency, delay, level, and channel. For example, if you wanted to send everything below 80hz from the front left channel into one of these, it will do it. You can also blend the L&R into one channel or any channel combination.

Any news one when (if) the C-1 and/or C-2 will get that rumored i.Link upgrade?
It would be really nice to see a list of upgrades that they are working on. No rumors but a list. DPL IIx is a for sure.

This processor is at the top of my list. If it received an I.link, room correction or dvi switching it will be the one.
I actually tried a customer service email to them about DPL IIx and i.Link, but they never got back to me. If they do, I'll post what they say.
They said DPL IIx around the New Year. They said they aren't working on an i.Link upgrade.
