I am in the process of putting together a 5.1 system, but I cannot afford a new powered sub right now. Instead, I would like to use a passive sub (Polk RM4000) and power it with an Acurus DIA-100. I want to split the Subwoofer-out from my Denon 1804 into 2 channels and run the signal to the Acurus amp.

Is this a reasonable solution until I can afford a new subwoofer?

I own both the sub and the amp. I'm trying to avoid selling the amp because I really like it and eventually want to use it in another room with the Zone2 preouts on the 1804.

Does the sub have two inputs?
Yes it has two inputs. The original setup had left and right speaker wires running to the sub and satellites being fed from there. I am not positive, but I think I need to feed both inputs to have the sub operate properly.
