Are you sure that you are picking up Fox 480p? Last night I watched the Star Wars movie, at least parts of it and to me it didn't look like it was 480p. I am guessing it was stretched 480i, or as others describe what many of the Fox stations do as 14:9 aspect ratio, to make the 4:3 fill a 16:9 screen. It that actually was 480p in wide-screen it was very disappointingly. Much worse PQ than my LD, which is only 480i.

I thought about calling channel 13 to ask them, but instead got caught up in watching Hendrix on Showtime. Can anyone confirm that Fox is actually sending out the 16:9 480p signal they receive from the network?

Titan TV has a few mistakes in the channel numbering.....probably using the original channel plan, not the post-DTVUtah channelling.

Channel 2 KUTV (CBS) is on UHF 34, HDTV Channel 2-1, upconverted/zoomed when not carrying HD CBS feed.

Channel 4 KTVX (ABC) is on UHF 40, SDTV Channel 40-1, alternating with HDTV channel 40-3 when ABC HD is available. (No virtual channel, ie: 4-1, 4-3 tags)

Channel 5 KSL (NBC) is on UHF 38, HDTV Channel 5-1 upconverted and zoomed (14:9) when no HD or WS is on....HDTV on "Leno" and "Crossing Jordan", upcon 16:9 SD on local news. "M&SW" on Sundays in full 1080i WS and 5.1 surround. SDTV channel 5-2 is dupe of analog station, being used in translator system tests down south.

Channel 7 KUED (PBS) is on UHF 42, SDTV channel 7-1 is dupe of analog station, HDTV channel 7-2 is PBS HD loop/PBS HD programming feed. SDTV channel is being used in the translator project.

Channel 9 KULC (Edu) will be on UHF 36 later. Have until May 2003 deadline for non-comms.

Channel 11 KBYU (PBS/LDS) is on UHF 44. HDTV channel 11-1 is upconvert of analog station, SDTV channel 11-2 is dupe of analog station, SDTV channel 11-3 is BYU-TV (same as on DBS satellite channels). 11-2 is part of translator experiment.

Channel 13 KSTU (Fox) is on UHF 28. WS SDTV channel 13-1 is stretched version of analog station. (Haven't gotten a chance to see if they pass WS Fox yet.)

Channel 14 KJZZ (Ind) will be on UHF 46. Transmitter is installed, waiting on final testing. May still need to finish a few minor things.

Channel 16 KUPX (Pax) is built (I've been told). It will be on UHF channel 29.

Channel 20 KTMW (Relig/Ind) is... ????.

Channel 30 KUWB (WB) is on UHF 48. SDTV Channel is 30-1, dupe of analog station.

The translator experiment is what we fondly call "The Kent Parsons Project".

He (Utah's Translator Guru) is working with the FCC, the NTA (National Translator Association), and Zenith, etc to determine if DTV and Analog TV translators can co-exist.....So far, it is working even better than hoped for!

DTV Translators at Levan Peak and Monroe are providing service from KSL-DT, KUED-DT, and KBYU-DT, and much-improved signals to the analog translators in six Southern Utah counties.

And some of you AVS Forum guys say YOU go to a lot of work to get DTV at YOUR houses!!

Awesome info Ken, I like to have the "insider info" Just one correction to your post is WB is 30.01 and ABC is 40.01

Noone said if they were getting a pixleated 7.01 if you could let me know that would be great.
