I just completed an internal modification project to black out the optic chamber of my Benq PB6200 and want to verify that the operating temperature of this projector has not changed significantly from the unmodified state before I leave the modification permanently installed.

Could one or two of my fellow PB6200 owners post their temperature measurements as reported in the service menu? You will recall that the service menu can be accessed by holding the 'up' arrow until the lamp counter appears, then pressing 'power' and 'blank' simultaneously. There you will see a 'FAN' tab which provides temperature measurements in Celsius for the DMD chip, Lamp and Blwr sensors. I would like to know what temps your projector is reporting after having warmed up and stabilized for at least 20 minutes.

Please indicate the three temps displayed as well as which mode (economy, video, etc.) you were operating in when you read them.

Before anyone asks, yes I believe that blacking out the optic chamber did improve the black floor slightly, but not enough to notice upon casual inspection, and definitely not enough to recommend it to anyone given the risks involved.

Thank you in advance,

Ryan
