I am still trying to figure out what to get for my HT room. I can get some PBS B-25's, B-15's, and a C-40 with stands for about 600 (used 1-year old). I have also been looking at Energy C-100's for 85/pair with the center (C-C100) for about 120. Which combo is better, is PBS that much better considering the cost differential?

Use would primarily be for movies.

I just auditioned the B25 and it sounded almost as good for music but better for HT than my JMLab 806V. Its sound has certainly entered the high end realm. I've owned the Energy C200 before and it's way worse than the B25. In fact, I liked my Paradigm Mini Monitors more than the C200 both for HT and music. But if you're into B&W sound, maybe you'll like the C200 more.

The B25s are a very versatile speaker and do both music and HT very well. The B25s definately have an advantage over Energy when it comes to dynamics being able to play louder and cleaner at these loud levels then Energy. I have the older 1B (B15 replaced them) and they are a good speaker as well but cannot match the B25s in terms of power handling and dynamics. The B25s can crank liek no other speaker at that price range and still sound good
