I have an MSI 845 Ultra motherboard with Radeon 7500, Delta 2496, Dlink NIC, running Win2k. If I enable Hibernate, the pc decides to do it by itself after a few minutes after powerup. Doesn't matter if I have "power button = hibernate" or not. No screen saver and all power save functions set to "never". I have the pc buried in a cabinet with a power button wired to the front of the cabinet so I'd like to have it powerup and hibernate by that button. But even if I un-wire the button it makes no difference. Is there any way to trace what issued the hibernate event?

Try going into the Bios and disabling it, it might be set to automatically hibernate after 15 minutes of no activity. Also, make sure that the box in the advanced tab of "power" in windows is not checked off to "enable hibernation"
