Hello all,

I am relativily new to the blu ray/hdtv world but an old veteran with pc's. So I bought a new 50" LG Plasma along with a Sony Bravia 3D Blu ray with wifi built in.

Here is the issue: after sharing a folder on my d: data drive called movies I can see it on the blu ray when I browse my pc. Not all the movies will show up however and ONLY m2ts files will play. I have tried mp4's, mkv's, avi's etc. It says the file is non-playable. However, if I copy the files to an external HDD and connect to the USB port on the blu ray and browse that I can see every file and each one so far is completely playable, avi, mp4, m2ts, mkv et all.

So is this a streaming issue? I don't understand!! please help.

Thanks,

The protocols that the blu ray player uses does not do what you need via network.
