I've been looking forward to this! Showtime hasn't had a horror series in a while.

Oh, I think the typical Showtime threads are like worded "on SHO" i.e. Penny Dreadful on SHO

Going to be hard to beat the legendary Masters of Horror seriess. Guess it's a different type of show to begin with.

Looking at the trailer, it does appear to be different from MoH.

The first episode is on VOD on DirecTV. After watching it, I'm in. I was afraid it was going to be too much of a gorefest but it wasn't. There was gore, but it served the plot so I was ok with it.
