Philips 37PFL9632D/10 - Annoying buzzing noise

I've seen a few similar posts, not about this model, they're pretty old at this stage, so I've post a new thread.


I bought the Philips 2 Channel Ambilight (37PFL9632D/10) around 2 months ago. Since day 1 it's had a high pitched buzzing noise coming from the back somewhere. At first I didn't think much of it, but it's actually really annoying when sitting beside it in silence...


I've just had the Philips technicians out to see it and they said it's a normal noise, that the electrical input generates that noise. They said there's not much that can be done about it.


So, before I go and start a big fight with Philips customer care, has anybody:

Had this problem?

Fixed this problem?

Heard anything interesting about this problem?
